The Detail
Everything in the box.
A simple wrap style knee support in polyester, and the most affordable knee brace we carry. It wraps around the stifle and secures with adjustable straps, which makes it forgiving to fit and easy to take on and off.
Who it suits
Dogs with mild cruciate weakness or a back leg they are favouring, and owners who want to try a brace before committing to a more structured one. The wrap format is also the easiest to get onto a dog who dislikes being handled.
What it does not do
This is a soft support, not a rigid one. It reminds the joint where it should be and adds warmth and compression. It will not hold a badly unstable stifle, and it is not a substitute for a veterinary diagnosis on a dog who is limping.
How it helps
- Wraps the stifle and secures with adjustable straps
- Polyester fabric, light enough to wear day to day
- Easy to fit on dogs who dislike being handled
- Three sizes, small through large
Getting the size right
Wraps are more forgiving than structured braces, but they still need the right size to apply any pressure. See our measuring guide, and send us your numbers if you are between two.
| Size | Chest | Thigh | Brace length | Back length |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 16.5 to 18.9 in | 3.7 to 7.9 in | 4.1 in | 10.4 in |
| M | 19.7 to 22.8 in | 5.1 to 9.1 in | 5.3 in | 11.8 in |
| L | 21.3 to 24.8 in | 5.9 to 10.6 in | 7.1 in | 13.6 in |
Measure the thigh at its widest point, not down near the knee.
Between two sizes? Do not round on your own. Send us the numbers and we will tell you which way to go, because it depends on the product and on whether your dog is likely to gain or lose muscle. Five minutes on email beats a fortnight waiting on an exchange.
Not sure it is the right one?
Send us your dog's measurements and a short description of how they are moving. We will tell you honestly what we would order, including when the answer is nothing yet.
