A hip brace built around the shape of a dog with hip dysplasia. It works as a support harness across the hips and upper thighs, adjustable at several points so the pressure sits where it is useful rather than wherever the strap happens to land.
Who it suits
Dogs with diagnosed hip dysplasia, dogs with age related hip soreness, and dogs who have started to sit down oddly or struggle to rise from a hard floor. It suits dogs still walking under their own power who need help staying comfortable while doing it.
What it does not do
Hip dysplasia is a structural problem with the joint. A brace supports the muscles and soft tissue around it and can make movement more comfortable. It does not change the joint itself, and it is not a reason to delay a veterinary opinion on a dog whose walking has changed.

Getting the size right
Hip braces size on girth, and dogs of the same breed vary widely here. Take the measurements in our measuring guide and send them to us. We will confirm the size before you order rather than after.
Introduce it gradually and check underneath for rubbing, particularly where the straps cross the thigh.

Measure the thigh at its widest point rather than down near the knee, and take the waist just in front of the hips.
