Who it suits
Dogs recovering from a hock sprain or knock who are licking at the joint, and dogs who chew at a stiff hock out of habit. It is also a gentler option than a cone for a dog fixated on one specific spot.
What it does not do
Covering a spot your dog is obsessed with does not tell you why they are obsessed with it. Persistent licking often means pain, infection or irritation underneath, and all three are worth a vet checking rather than covering up.
