Jumping down from a boot puts a hard shock through the front legs and shoulders, and for a dog with joint trouble that single moment can undo a good week.

Who it suits

Large and heavy dogs, dogs with hip or joint problems, and dogs recovering from surgery where jumping is off the table. Also worth having for a big dog who is fine now, because lifting an eighty pound dog into a car is hard on you as well.

How it helps

Supports dogs up to 250 lb

Metal construction, folds for storage in the boot

Non slip surface for confidence going up and coming down

Portable, for use at home as well as at the car

Getting your dog to use it

Most dogs are suspicious of a ramp the first time. Lay it flat on the ground, walk them over it for treats, and only then raise it to the car. Rushing this is the single reason ramps end up unused in a garage.

Good to know

Check the ramp is seated firmly against the vehicle before your dog steps on it, and stay alongside them the first few times. A ramp that shifts once will take a while to be trusted again.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1072/0565/6907/files/1_cf72b993-aa68-451b-bb6f-fd0b785120e6.png?v=1786398030
